Winner of the Beale Bell-Hammer Drawing Prize 2015-2016
Marcus Beale is pictured here at Wimbledon College of Art with Giulia Lanza winner of the Beale Bell-Hammer Drawing Prize in 2015-2016.
The art prize which will in future be taken forward as the Marcus Beale Architects Drawing Prize, is awarded on entry to artists studying at the MA Drawing Course at Wimbledon College of Art.
Giulia Lanza came to study in London from Rome. Her work encapsulates a subtle and delicate craftsmanship, working with fabric, patterns, wax, and embroidery to suggest spaces imprinted with the shape and memory of the human body. (more…)

Ideas generated by the futureWimbledon competition are showcased at the New London Architecture galleries October 13 to Friday November 7 2014.
Three MBA-drafted boards are on display (hire-a-pen).’The Greens’ for WEHRA won the Community prize, and the Concert Hall proposal was highly commended.
MBA’s proposal for Wimbledon Civic Forum: More! was shortlisted among 29 luminaries of the UK architecture scene.

MBA are delighted to be main sponsors for the Wimbledon Bookfest 2008 – which will include a lecture by Leo Hollis, author of The Phoenix, a book about the reconstruction of London after the Great Fire, at the Antoinette Hotel SW19 1SD on 8 October 2008 at 7.30 pm. Other highlights of the festival include; Toby Young hot from Cannes with How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, novelist Maggie O’Farrell, TV gardener Joe Swift and James Fenton with the Florestan trio.
