Construction commenced November 2001 on a new Interpretation Centre for Wimbledon and Putney Commons, and completed in April 2002. It opened in June 2002.
This is MBA's third building for the
Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators.
The front of the building acts as a sign, visible for 800 metres, designed to contrast and recede from the palette of the natural colours of the landscape. The galvanised steel roof is designed to 'vanish' into the sky.
