Oriel College, Oxford

Entrance and Porter's Lodge

Oriel College was founded by King Edward II in 1326 and is one of the five oldest of Oxford’s colleges. The south and west ranges, including the gateway tower, were built 1620-1622 north and east ranges with the Chapel in 1637-1642. The buildings are grade I Listed, and comprise an amazing group survival from the eve of the English Civil War of 1642-1646. The Porters' Lodge has been a main entrance to the College since 1622. Provost's Lodgings

Following the successful completion fo the Porter's Lodge and Entrance project, MBA were asked to carry out some alterations to the grade I Listed Provist's Lodgings. More about the Provosts Lodgings>>

Conservation and Management Plan

In 2008 Stow & Beale Conservation Architects were instructed to develop a Conservation and Development Plan for the College.

Rhodes Building

The Rhodes Buiding was constructed 1909-11 and MBA are looking at plans to upgrade and repair this important building on Oxford's High. More about the Rhodes Building>>
