Oriel College, Oxford
A detailed study of the lodge and its history including monitoring of the existing use and interviews with users, and close liaison with the conservation team at Oxford City Council, helped form a transforming, low key design.
Sustainability is high, because it involves minimum disruption to the valuable historic fabric, maximum repair, flexibility and choice for future generations.
