James Donlon is a job running architect responsible for a number of institutional, educational and housing projects, with a particular interest in socially and environmentally responsive design. James studied architecture at the universities of Birmingham, Sheffield and London, and had three years experience on housing and institutional projects for a major international practice, and a year working on housing/conservation projects, before joining MBA in 2006.

Key projects include:

  • Bartlemas Housing, new Eco-housing for Oriel College, Oxford
  • London School of Pharmacy, Library, Dean's office and internal alterations
  • Max Roach Play Park, Lambeth
  • Heythrop College, University of London, accessibility and lift projects
  • Fordham University, London Dramatic Academy.

Qualifications:

  • RIBA chartered architect 2004
  • Professional Practice and Management (RIBA Part 3) with commendation - The Bartlett, UCL 2004
  • MArch - University of Sheffield 2004
  • Dip Arch with commendation for design- University of Sheffield 2003
  • B Arch - University of Birmingham 2000
