Esme joined MBA in 2018. She completed Parts I & II at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow, and became a registered architect in 2017.

Design for education is of particular interest to Esme.  In 2014, her dissertation exploring  the relationship between standardisation in school design and the making of places with identity, received a nomination for the RIBA President’s Medal (Dissertation).

Esme has worked on education projects at BPR Architektur & Design in Munich, a practice whose design ethos is based on Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy of Anthroposophy, and more recently at Nicholas Hare Architects in London.

She gained two years experience at Michael Jones Architects in London, working predominantly on small scale bespoke residential projects, mainly with locally or nationally listed buildings in conservation areas.
